Liver on chip

Our group investigates the domain of organ on chips. We proposed microfluidic devices capable to reproduce the structure and functions of the spleen, or more recently reproducing functions of the liver lobule. In particular we try to reproduce on a chip the function of the herring channel, and the connection between the bile canaliculi that appear between polarized hepatocytes, and the bile ducts bordered with cholangyocytes cells
